Rogers PCB with RF components and controlled impedance traces

Rogers PCB

At Orbis Electrica, our Rogers Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) are engineered for applications where signal integrity, low loss, and thermal stability at high frequencies are critical. Rogers PCBs use premium high-frequency laminate materials developed by Rogers Corporation, tailored for RF, microwave, and high-speed digital applications that exceed the performance limits of standard FR4 boards.

What Is a Rogers PCB?

A Rogers PCB is a high-performance circuit board made from advanced substrate materials such as the RO3000®, RO4000®, and other Rogers laminate families. Unlike conventional PCB materials (e.g., FR4 with epoxy and glass fibre), Rogers laminates are often ceramic-filled or PTFE-based composites designed for minimal signal loss and exceptional dielectric stability at high frequencies. These materials maintain: • Low and stable dielectric constant (Dk) over frequency and temperature • Extremely low loss tangent (Df) for minimal signal degradation • Low moisture absorption for reliable performance in varied environments • Excellent thermal and mechanical stability in demanding RF conditions

Key Benefits

High-frequency signal plot or CAD showing controlled impedance
Superior High-Frequency Performance

Rogers PCB materials deliver very low dielectric loss and stable dielectric constant, making them ideal for RF, microwave, 5G, aerospace, and high-speed digital systems where signal integrity is crucial.

Consistent Impedance Control

Tight dielectric tolerance and low variation with temperature/frequency support precise impedance control essential for transmission lines, antennas, and high-speed interfaces.

Thermal Stability & Reliability

Rogers laminates exhibit excellent thermal characteristics, including low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) matched to copper and high glass transition temperatures, reducing stress and warpage under heat.

Low Moisture Absorption

Minimal moisture uptake preserves electrical performance and reliability in humid or outdoor deployments — important for telecom, automotive radar, and aerospace systems.

Enhanced Signal Integrity & Low Loss

Reduced loss tangent supports tighter signal bandwidths and cleaner RF paths, minimising attenuation and distortion at frequencies well above what FR4 can support.

Typical Applications
